History:
Harley-Davidson "VL" models were introduced in 1930. They were equipped with a powerful side-valve engine of 1200 cc, stronger frame, front fork, 19" wheels and 3-speed gearbox.
After the stock market crash in 1929, the market was slow and Harley soon had the lowest sales figures in 20 years. From the mid-30s, the factory focused more on color and graphics than expensive technical changes, which we can see in the very beautiful Art Deco paints on "VL" models.
This particular 1934 VD is sold new in Sweden, and was registered 1935-11-04. Until 1948, it was owned by various owners in Skåne, where it was also found in the early 2000s.

Condition:
Completely renovated by Fredrik Lange 2010-2017. Then only test driven (20 km) and inspected, after that stored warm in a private collection. Coating damage on the tank. Extensive documentation is available after renovation.
